Meanwhile I've finished the baby sewing for now. Here's the last little receiving blanket, burp cloth and, of course, a tiny baby doll for a tiny little girl.
I also made a couple of small diapers from a pattern I saw on Rosie's blog. Rosie is a lovely lady who is very creative. She made some precious baby things for her new grandson. I thought the "nappies" were so cute so I had to try them. I love cloth diapers (that is all I used for my babies) and my daughter will be using them as well. Here is my first one...I will make more when we know how much the baby weighs.
Now I am finishing a nursing sweater I'm knitting for my daughter. It buttons up each side for ease of nursing and later can be converted to a regular sweater by sewing up the sides. The pattern was difficult and I'm a slow knitter but I hope to finish before Feb. 1.
So, has this new year started well for you? I love to see the different projects my blogging friends are working on...it's such an inspiration to see the many things of beauty being created. And I know the joy that comes in just the making of each new project.
Hope your day is full of blessings and happy stitching,

I've been thinking of you & wondering when your little grandbaby was due. Praying for a safe delivery of this little one. Love all the things you have been making for her.Sure hope the ultrasound is right. LOL
Hi Karen, I am so excited for you.. It brings back lots of memories of the time we had waiting for little Max to arrive. You are in for some fantastic times my friend.... the best times ever..
Love your recieving blanket and little doll.xx
You are the most prepared new grandmother anywhere! And what a lucky little girl to be getting so many of your hand-made things. Your knitting may be slow, but it's expert. Remember, I have the scarf you gave away. It keeps me warm walking everyday! I've been trying my hand at knitting more lately, and was going to make socks. Bought beautiful pricey yarn and all -- Yeah, right! No socks will be forthcoming (my hands are telling me) so now I need to make something easier. Any suggestions? LOL I love the pattern of the sweater in progress.
